People often say "When I grow up I want to be like you" for the wrong reasons.
We look up to people who have more money, beautiful shoes, cars and clothes, travel round the world, spend lavishly cause of wedding and all that instead of looking up to people who have achieved more than us in the deen.
Allah has said that the successful people are the people of the Quran; those who read the Quran, those who teach the Quran, those who memorize Quran and those who practice the teachings of Quran.
The kind of people who should wanna be like are the people who acquire good deeds, not people who acquire material things cause we are only going to leave this world with our deeds and leave everything else behind.
Quran 18:46 "wealth and children are an ornament of this life but deeds of lasting merit are better rewarding by Allah and a far better source of hope"
Instead of aspiring to be like people who have material things that are just ornaments of life, we should wanna be like people with deeds that will open 🚪 of Jannah.
People who can recite all the 99 names of Allah without looking at the book.
People who have, completely and memorized the Quran.
People who died during sujood and during Hajj or Umurah.
People who have knowledge about the deen, teach the Quran and act accordingly.
Everything in this world is only for a while so we need to start concentrating on things that will benefit us in hereafter.
Quran 18:7&8 "We have adorned the earth with attractive things so that we may test mankind as to which one is best in conduct but we shall reduce all this to barren waste"
There is no happily ever after than Jannah and for us to get there we have to work for it.
May Allah make it easy for us all.
Sallam
